Laken {Ark City Senior}

Laken and I started talking about her senior portraits MONTHS ago, and her session is proof that planning = perfection!
This pretty girl is a senior at ACHS and has been dancing for 13 years! She is amazingly beautiful inside and out and I am so glad she chose me to capture her senior year.

When we met for Laken's consult it became clear that she is a super easy-going girl (which I love!) and was open to ideas and suggestions for her photos. She had brought some pictures of the outfits she wanted to incorporate, which gave me great inspiration for locations & colors for her! When the day came for her session I was so excited to see her wardrobe on the rack. This girl had styled her outfits from head to toe! I love that she had a statement necklace for each outfit, because honestly, you can never have enough jewelry!

We started our session with hair & makeup from {Kelsie Adkins/Makeup by Kelsie} and I got to chat with her Grandma Wanda & her friend Ashtyn while Laken was in the glam chair. We talked about the girls' concert adventures and love for live music and all kinds of other good girl gossip! After hair & makeup we headed out on location downtown! I had a specific spot in mind for Laken's urban look and then she had a surprise in store for me for her country look!

Laken had told me she had a friend with a vintage truck that she wanted to incorporate, but I could have never imagined what I was in store for. When we pulled up to the property and I saw a beautiful emerald green vintage truck, parked in front of a rustic wood barn with golden sunlight coming through the back, I nearly passed out. It could not have been more perfect! After shooting with the truck, we had one last outfit and I happened to be in my own neck of the woods and took Laken to my favorite milo field to finish our session!

I had so much fun with her, and was so impressed with her friend Ashtyn who held my reflectors while snapchatting on two different phones all at the same time. I may just have to hire her as my permanent assistant! I hope these girls had as much fun as I did, and I hope you enjoy Laken's session! Be sure to leave her some love at the bottom!

XOXO,
Chelsea
